Brian Evans, Tuscaloosa artist and musicologist, creates abstract art through digital reproduction of sound waves. The artist states, “In “time slice” a temporal expression (an abstract animation) is sliced in time. Thus we see, in a static image, the score of a visual nusic (an exquisite esquisse?)…We hear the colors. We listen with our eyes. In “green pods” and others in this series (sonic maps) there is frozen music. The pattern is caught in the moment and there is visible sound.”
